Hayley Stern, Autumn Challenge Weekend 2020

With Guiding keeping a tight rein on social distancing, we hired the local Scout camp site for a week end, but did not sleep over.

We had 2 days of camping experiences, cooking on an open fire, including making camp donuts, which was a first for many of our Guides. We even got one of our unit tents out, and put it up, so the Guides had that experience. We also did The Autumn Challenge, which I have to say the Guides really enjoyed.

We managed to get away May 2022 as our first residential, we all had such amazing fun at Paxwood, and none of the Guides had ever been on a Guiding residential before.

Following on from that we are taking them to Edenbridge July 2023 for a weekend residential.
